Seen any good Danish films recently? At this year’s Danish Film Festival, reel-lovers will be treated to a special collection of art- and design-centric films for the modern audience from 16 to 18 March 2018, at The Projector.
From visual storytelling of designers, to seeking out great alternative food sources on Earth, this year’s line-up will appeal to those seeking a respite from the cookie-cutter Hollywood formula of loud explosions, cheap jokes and full-bosomed bombshells.
Børge Mogensen: Designs For Life details the world of the late famous architect and the strain that his professional life put on him, as told by his son, Thomas Mogensen. The film takes the viewer on a journey back in time, as the audience watch his internationally-recognised designs come to fruition prior to his untimely death.
Bugs, directed by Andreas Johnson, follows the Copenhagen-based Nordic Food Lab team around the world as they travel and meet with communities to learn more about foraging for and consuming an insect-based diet.
Why not swap out your weekend Netflix routine for some of Denmark’s finest cinematic offerings for a change?
