More than belts, handbags and silk scarfs; Hermès has been making designer furniture since the early 1920s and has since expanded its vast collection of furniture into something called the Hermès Maison Universe.
The high fashion brand will host its first immersive exhibition, titled Through The Walls, at the Liat Towers flagship store in Singapore. The exhibition was specially curated for our little red dot and will run till 29 October 2017.
The upper levels of the store has been metamorphosed into an absolute masterpiece, with the intention to create an inviting experience for visitors.
Highlights include the sheer diversity of the Hermès home collection, featuring different types of wallpaper, furnishing fabrics and even lighting reminiscent of the good ol’ 70s.
Inspired by the late Gordon Matta-Clark, the exhibition is a play on deconstruction and reinvention of space, allowing each Hermès object to shine on its own. There’re even special leather Mahjong tiles –bespoke pieces– that are quintessentially Singaporean.
If you’re looking to be enchanted by the cultured brilliance of Hermès, or are just looking for some interior design inspiration, head to the Through The Walls exhibition before the end of October!
