If I could, I would love to quit my job, jet around the world, meet new people and seek out exotic things. But, until the day that dream becomes a reality, living through Postcrossing is one way I’m dealing with this wanderlust.
The Postcrossing website allows you to exchange postcards with other users across the world. For each card you send, you will get one back from someone else.
Before you know it, you’ll have a collection of postcards that have travelled around the world to find their way to you.
It’s pretty straightforward: Sign up for an account and click on send a postcard. From there, Postcrossing will guide you on the necessary steps required.
You’ll have to pay for the postage stamps and cards yourself but luckily, this is pretty affordable as mailing costs no more than S$0.60 per card. Plus, you can even use the free postcards by ZoCard if you stop by these places.
A favourite feature of mine is how Postcrossing tracks the distance that your cards have travelled. It’s amazing to see the connections you can make throughout the world!
Are you considering trying Postcrossing for yourself? Or maybe you’ve already used it before? Let us know what you think about it; we’d love to hear from you!
