Grab has been constantly redefining itself to become an all-in-one super app. The Grab app has already absorbed Grab food back into the main app and it’s about to become even more inseparable from my life with their new upgrades this June 2019.
With the upcoming new features (other than ordering food delivery), you can plan your transport routes, stream shows, book movie tickets and hotel rooms.
Here are some preview shots of how the new features look:
Besides the usual Grab booking services, you can now look up on public transport information and plan your journey. Whether it’s bus routes or MRT lines, Grab’s has got you covered.
With the multitude of travel options in Singapore, sometimes planning your journey can be frustrating. With this route planning feature, you can safely leave your problems to Grab and let it plan the most efficient route for you.
It even alerts you about traffic upgrading works that might hinder you. There goes our excuse for being late.
In partnership with HOOQ, Grab will be offering video content that you can stream to watch. You now have access to multitude blockbusters, regional favourites, and free-to-air content anywhere anytime.
Instead of booking via cinema websites, users can also book tickets through the Grab app. Grab aims to minimise the hassle of cinema tickets booking by simplifying the process. Damn, where was this function when Avengers: Endgame came out and everybody was flooding the cinema website?
Grab has also found its way into our travel plans in partnership with Agoda, allowing us to get hotels at attractive prices. The new feature compares over 28 million accommodations ranging from luxury to budget hotels, vacation homes and family run B&Bs to give users the best bargains.
The nifty upgrades Grab has gotten combines the uses of several applications into one, giving users to get about their day to day activities with ease. As someone that values convenience, I am completely sold even before its release. Let’s await in anticipation for its release this June.
