Skechers Singapore recently opened its first and largest brand experience store at Jewel Changi Airport.
With street style and fitness becoming a common theme amongst the current generation, I was pleasantly surprised to see Skechers’ new look.
The launch’s focus was on their new athletic leisure gear. It was a breath of fresh air to see the turnaround that Skechers has taken with their line.
As mentioned by Skechers Singapore ambassador, Ethen Lee “sports fashion is really popular because of three simple reasons – comfort, functionality and convenience.”
He’s not wrong. I aim to live my life in leggings and be able to get away with it. However, I still want to make sure I’m always ready for the ‘gram. Such a hard life to lead.
In addition to the various colourways and styles that Skechers launched at their Jewel Changi Airport opening, their footwear is now a more wearable and “take-it-to-both-the-gym-and-a-launch-party” sort off style.
The Jewel Changi Airport outlet is home to the D’Lites Skechers collection as well as the Jewel-exclusive Skechers ENERGY, MONSTER and STAMINA series.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Skechers ENERGY, expect more limited-edition colourways for the collection, estimated to arrive between October to December 2019.
In addition to the classic shoes, Skechers now cater to the masses with adorable slip-on shoes, slides for your lazy days and a sharp men’s footwear line.
Who knew you could find cool boat shoes at Skechers? In addition, the store also carries a kid’s range so you can now dress your child in comfortable yet fashionable athletic wear.
Along with its new and improved style range, Skechers at Jewel Changi Airport allows you to personalise your shoes and streetwear using their embroidery machine on the second floor.
Customise your Skechers with iconic Singaporean slang patches to set your pieces apart from everyone else’s. New couple “ring” option for couples who’re not into jewellery, maybe?
New look, easy-to-wear and comfortable; it’s probably time we all invested in a pair of Skechers. Besides, your sweatpants need a pair of new friends to rock the full Monday (or every day) lazy-day look.
