Oogachaga and Trouble Brewing have teamed up to create the first ale in Singapore to support our LGBTQ+ community. This Unicorn Ale is a fruit beer brewed with pink dragonfruit, hibiscus and rosehip, giving the drink its pink hue.
What I personally love about the unicorn ale is that part of the proceeds will go to Oogachaga– a non-profit organisation that provides support for LGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families in Singapore. The bottle’s derpy unicorn design features artwork by local artist Teo You Sheng, founder of Heckin’ Unicorn.
“This is such a refreshing initiative for us – bringing together art, ale and advocacy. For the first time in our 20-year history, we are collaborating with a local artist and a local micro-brewery to develop a unique beverage, raising much-needed awareness and support for Singapore’s LGBTQ+ community,” says Leow Yangfa, Executive Director of Oogachaga.
If you’re interested in purchasing a bottle of Unicorn Ale, simply reach out to [email protected] . Alternatively, you can find it at partner locations, including Fry Rooftop Bistro & Bar and Well Dressed Salad Bar from now until the end of September 2019.
